Many businesses are now transitioning from using Blackberry as their company device(s) to Android. So you probably need some apps on your phone to keep your business going or to help get your work done faster and easier right? Once again Android Headlines has you covered. We’ve found plenty of great Business apps and have narrowed them down to just 10. These are some pretty great apps. They range from cloud storage to remote desktop apps, to package tracking and more. So without any further ado, let’s get started.
10. Receipt Catcher
Need to keep track of all your receipts? Introducing Receipt Catcher. This app will keep track of all your receipts all electronically. Which makes it easier to keep track of your expenses. You can also mark them for different categories. And the best feature, at least in my opinion, is the ability to export the data. It can also be used in any country and changes to the currency used in your country. Try it out today, you’ll love it.
9. Box
Need some cloud storage? Of course you do. Box (formerly box.net) is one of the more popular cloud storage solutions out there. It’s more of an enterprise type cloud storage solution than Dropbox and Google Drive. With Box you get 5GB of free, with a 100MB file upload limit. The app is usable but not the best. Which is why it’s so low on our list. If you can use the app, then you’ll love Box.
8. OfficeSuite Viewer 6
OfficeSuite Viewer 6 is one of many OfficeSuite apps on the Android market. This one is free and allows you to view some important documents you may need in a snap. You can view DOC, DOCX, DOCM, RTF, TXT, LOG, XLS, XLSX, XLSM, CSV, PPT, PPTX, PPS, PPSX, PPTM, PPSM, EML, PDF and ZIP files. Pretty good for being free right?
7. Dropbox
Dropbox is one of the most popular cloud storage solutions out there. It’s been around for quite a while and they give a ton of free storage away. In fact I have about 125GB of Dropbox storage all for free. One of my favorite features of the Dropbox for Android app is the camera auto-upload feature. It auto-uploads all pictures and videos from your device and unlike Google+ it doesn’t reduce the resolution.
6. Paypal Here
Paypal here is an interesting app. It’s basically like Square but with Paypal. The reason why this made our list and Square didn’t is simply because Paypal is more popular and probably more secure. The Paypal Here app comes with a small encrypted card reader for you to have a register on your phone. It’s a pretty good solution for those always on the move.
5. Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop
At home and need to access your work computer? Splashtop 2 – Remote Desktop solves your problem. It allows you to remote into your work computer or any computer for that matter, using your Android-powered tablet or smartphone. It also allows you to access everything on your computer. So you could even use Photoshop from your desktop on your Android smartphone, but why would you when there is a Photoshop app?
4. UPS Mobile
Sending package(s)? UPS Mobile helps you track, ship, find UPS locations and much more. I use this app constantly when I am waiting for a package and it’s great. It’s easy to use and fast as well. You can also scan the barcode on your package, along with taking full advantage of your UPS MyChoice account. You can also get rate quotes before you ship. All this and more in a nice and small app on your Android-powered smartphone, what more could you ask for?
3. Google Drive
Yet another Cloud storage solution, okay not really. Many of us are heavily invested in Google and all of it’s products. Which is a main reason why this is number three on our list. Many of us already use Gmail, Google Calendar and so many more Google Features, that using Google Drive is just easier than remembering another username and password for Box or Dropbox. With Google Drive you start with 5GB and can upgrade to an additional 25GB, 50GB all the way to 16TB.
2. Teamviewer for Remote Control
Here we have another remote desktop app. This one is even easier to use than Splashtop 2, listed above. You can log into your friends computer and send files to it very easily. On Splashtop 2 you are unable to do that. You can also setup a VPN and much more. Teamviewer also supports Windows, Linux and Mac. It also has some high security going on including 256 Bit AES Session Encoding, 1024 Bit RSA Key Exchange.
1. Documents to Go
This is one of the productivity apps that’s been around forever. It allows you to view and edit Doc, PPT, XLS, PDF and many more. It’s a little hard to edit these documents on your phone, but it works great on tablets, or a large phone like the Galaxy Note 2. There is also a paid version that’s on sale for $14.95 instead of $22.95. Documents to Go is one of the top selling apps in both the Business and Productivity categories on Google Play. So yes it’s a great app, give it a try.
